so as i’ve previously posted…i want get more into visualizations. i am completely new at it. so i thought throwing together an infographic would be a good start. i recently came back from an india trip where i collected a bunch of “info”. i decided to give a stab at creating one:
i’m not too impressed with it, but i sure learned a lot already.
finally. going through all my india pictures took a heck of a lot longer than i expected. even though i took a lot less pictures than i expected. it’s tough to constantly try to take decent pictures for three weeks straight. too much effort. it’s also interesting taking pictures for a long period of time without actually looking at them on a monitor. something could have been screwed up and you wouldn’t have known, screwing up all the rest of your pictures. usually you get to see what you’ve done and then adapt. anyways i tried to narrow it down as much as possible. i hate swamping people with a ton of pictures. i think i ended up selecting 10% of my pictures which isn’t too bad. by the way, sometimes i hate flickr. http://www.flickr.com/photos/clunkity/collections/72157616737206816/
oh yea! so i originally got this book in college. the red queen. i’ve always picked it up at random times and read a little here and there. it was obviously good enough for me to keep coming back to it. i’ve restarted reading it a couple times. but i’ve never finished it. anyways, during the india trip i finally finished it front to back! hizzah! it look like…at least 3 years. probably more. anyways. it’s an awesome book and a definitely recommend it. one of the better written nonfictions. i found fountainhead in india, so i started reading that. its okay so far.
…and reality. feels so good to take a hot shower. i feel clean for once. but wish i had more time to travel. much more time.
